FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus Sensor Recall

Abbott has issued an urgent recall for certain FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors. This recall does not affect any other Libre sensors, apps, or readers used in Canada.
Some Libre 3 Plus sensors may show incorrect low glucose readings, which could lead to improper treatment decisions.

What you need to do:

Check your sensors at www.FreeStyleCheck.com to see if any of yours are affected.

If a sensor is confirmed as affected, stop using it immediately and dispose of it.

You can request a free replacement through the same website.

If your glucose reading doesn’t match how you feel, use a blood glucose meter or the built-in meter on your Libre 3 reader.

Finding your sensor’s serial number:
You can locate the serial number in your Libre 3 app/reader or on the bottom of the sensor applicator or carton.
